What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Single Sign-on (SSO) is a technology which combines several different application login screens into one. With SSO, a user only has to enter their login credentials (username, password) on time on a single page to access all of their SaaS applications.

Does Red Marker offer SSO?

Yes, Red Marker can accommodate your organization's Single Sign-On requirements.

How can my organization set up SSO with Red Marker?

To learn how to set up Single Sign-On, please visit our API Documents page on User Federation / SSO. The two options for setting up SSO are Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) or OpenID Connect (OIDC) login.

The key steps for SAML are:

  1. Review the API documents page above to update the Service Provider (SP) details based upon your desired region of operation and authentication mechanism. This will configure your IdP for SSO.

  2. Share your IdP Metadata.xml file with us.

  3. We will complete the set up from there.

The key steps for OIDC are:

  1. Provide Grant Type, Scope, and Redirect URL details found here to your IT team.

  2. Provide Red Marker with your Client ID, Client Secret, and Issuer URL.

  3. We will complete the set up from there.

Can my organization set up auto-provisioning of users?

Yes, this can be done, please contact your Red Marker Client Success Manager or email support@redmarker.ai.

If my company does not have auto-provision capabilities, can I still set up the users on my own?

No, please contact your Red Marker Client Success Manager who will be able to assist you with setting up your team members as Red Marker Users.

How long does it take to set up SSO?

Typically this is set up in 5-7 business days, but can be done sooner when all required information is provided.

Can we login via a widget in Okta?

No, we do not support logins through widgets at this time. Your users will be able to login using their email address in the Red Marker web app or in the Red Marker Add-ins.
