If the Red Marker Spelling & Grammar rule is triggering on words that are considered correct within your organisation, including brand specific spelling, product names, or regional spelling differences, you can use Red Marker's Add to dictionary functionality to add the correct version(s) of the word(s) to your organisation's Red Marker dictionary. Once added to the Red Marker Dictionary, the word(s) will no longer trigger as a Spelling & Grammar error.

How do I add a word?
When a word is highlighted as a potential Spelling & Grammar risk (in the rules pane on the right side of the document), you will see a book icon. Click the "Add to dictionary" icon and the word will be added to your Red Marker dictionary!

Tip: If you've added a word in error, you can undo this by clicking the reverse arrow (see screenshot below)

Please note:

  • Words are added to the dictionary for your entire organisation, so any word you add will be added for all your colleagues as well.

  • Currently, this feature is only available when using the Red Marker App, and not when using our Word Add-In, PowerPoint Add-In, Figma Plugin, Google Docs Add-on, or any integrations.

  • If a word is highlighted as a Spelling & Grammar risk, but does appear to be correct, please advise your Client Success Manager, send a chat message or email support@redmarker.ai.
