Make it easier to share the feedback on your Word documents by inserting the Red Marker feedback as comments! This means you no longer have to send your document to Red Marker and download the annotated PDF if you need to share or escalate a document which includes Red Marker feedback.

Review your document in Word using the Red Marker Add-In as you normally would. Feedback will be displayed in the review pane on the right as usual.

To insert the feedback as a comment into Red Marker, click on the feedback box - it will expand and give you the option to 'Insert Comment'.

If you click the Insert Comment icon, the feedback will be added to the Word document as a comment.

The comment becomes part of the Word document and is no longer attached to Red Marker. You can engage with this comment as you would any other comment in Word. You can edit the comment, resolve the comment or delete the comment. The comments will remain in the document if you close the Red Marker Add-In, or save or download the document.

Tip! You can use the ellipsis icon (3 dot menu) in the top right corner of the Red Marker Add-In to select 'Insert All Comments'. This will insert all the feedback as comments into Word in one go! Be mindful that if you have already inserted a comment individually and then 'Insert All Comments', there will be duplicate comments in your document.

Tip! If you insert a comment, but do not change the content in the document and re-review the document using the Red Marker Word Add-In, the feedback will still appear in the review pane.
