When you upload a document to Red Marker, we will scan the document with your automated compliance requirements looking for any content within the document that may pose a compliance risk.

Once the document is uploaded, it will take you to our review page. A PDF version of the document will be displayed on the left hand side of the page, and any content that has triggered a rule will be listed on the right in the risk pane.

The risk pane will display a document summary and the rules that have been triggered:

The Document Summary will give an overview of what types of risks are most present in the document.

Click on the rule to see the feedback and suggested corrective action. This will also show you where the content is located within the document.

Once you have reviewed the content and have determined whether it represents a risk or not, there are some actions you can take:

  • You can add your own comment or instruction in the Reply box which will get added as an annotation to the document and appear when you download the Annotated PDF

  • If you do not consider the content to pose a compliance risk, you can dismiss the risk by pressing the 'x' in the top right. The annotation will appear greyed out and won't appear in the Annotated PDF.

Tip: You can use the the double rectangle menu icon to open up a rule by rule view of the risk pane:

Once you have reviewed all the highlighted content, you can use this Actions Menu to download an annotated PDF to share with your content creator and then mark the document as reviewed.

To access the Actions Menu, click on the ellipsis next to the Mark As Reviewed button. Within this dropdown, you'll have access to functions such as: Share, Download Original, Download an Annotated PDF, Print, Delete and retrieve the Document Information.

Tip: to ensure you have the best experience using Red Marker, please ensure you use Google Chrome, Adobe Acrobat and have minimum screen resolution of 1440x900.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your Client Success Manager or contact support@redmarker.ai.
