To convert a single sample in an Google Sheets file to a PDF, follow the instructions below:

  1. Select the cells containing content for the single sample you want to export

  2. Click file > print, or cmd + P

  3. Set the Page orientation to Portrait

  4. Under the ‘Print’ dropdown at the top of the print settings page, choose ‘Selected Cells’. Click ‘Next’.

5. When the Print dialog opens, select ‘Save as PDF’ as the print destination, then click Save. This will save your sample to a single PDF.

This next process shows you how to turn multiple samples in an Google Sheets file into a combined PDF with each sample on a different page. This process is good for creating a single PDF file with multiple samples that have the same categorisation (e.g. same company, same product, same channel, etc.)

To convert multiple samples in an Google Sheets file to a combined PDF, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click file > print, or cmd + P

  2. Set the Page orientation to Portrait

  3. Click SET CUSTOM PAGE BREAKS from the print settings menu on the right

4. Set the page breaks around each individual content item to separate them into individual sections. Click ‘Confirm breaks’ then click ‘Next’.

5. When the Print dialog opens, select ‘Save as PDF’ as the print destination, then click Save.
6. Custom page breaks are automatically saved, so the sheet or file with the page breaks can be duplicated as a template.
